FORMER Wolverhampton star David Howe is on the comeback trail after one season away from the sport.

Howe, who turns 35 next week, spent six seasons riding for the Parrys International Wolves between 2002 and 2008.

The Wolves asset called time on his career at the end of the 2015 campaign but is now looking to ride again after getting back on a bike.

Wolves co-promoter Chris Van Straaten revealed: “I was quite surprised to receive a call from David on Sunday telling me that he wants to race again.

“He would commence the season on a 6.72 average and we very much hope he’s successful in his comeback.”
