WOLVERHAMPTON are gearing up for a massive two days for the club.

The reigning league champions stage Peter Karlsson’s farewell meeting this Sunday (5pm) with a huge crowd expected to show their appreciation to one of their all-time greats.

And the following night the full Parrys International Wolves side will go through their paces at the press and practice session.

Karlsson, who launched his professional career with the club in 1990, is relishing the prospect of his big day on Sunday.

“It’s been a lot of work organising everything, but hopefully it will end up being a great day for everyone,” he said.

“I’ve had so many good times at Wolverhampton, so I hope next weekend can be another great occasion.

“We’ve got a good line-up and plenty of things going on. I want it to be a fun day and I hope everyone can come and just enjoy it really.”

Monday’s public practice starts at 6.30 and admission is by donation to charity (minimum £1).

All the team will be present as preparations continue for the big opener against Poole in the Premiership Shield on March 27 at Monmore – the return in Dorset is March 29.
