WOLVERHAMPTON legend Peter Karlsson has finalised the line-up for his Farewell meeting this weekend (Sunday, March 19, 5pm).

American duo Ricky Wells and Broc Nicol have now been confirmed while Karlsson himself will also compete in the main meeting at Monmore Green.

Said Karlsson: “At first I was unsure whether to race or not or to stay away from the track and make the most of my day.

“But I guess I just had to have one last meeting at Wolverhampton and bid farewell to British Speedway properly.

“It’s great to have Ricky and Broc on board too. Ricky is a familiar face at Wolverhampton and I’ve heard plenty of good things about Broc Nicol, especially from World Champ Greg Hancock.

“I’ve also got Max Clegg and Kyle Howarth as meeting reserves too so it will be good to have them there on the day as well.”

Former Arena-Essex racer Paul Hurry, who also raced for the Wolves at the start of the century, will complete the Match Race quartet alongside Sam Ermolenko, Mikael Max and Ronnie Correy.

Prior to the main event, there will also be some demonstration races featuring eight of Britain’s ‘Young Lions.’

There is no pre-sale of tickets; admission will be available on the day ONLY.
