WOLVERHAMPTON face a repeat of last year’s Grand Final when they take on Belle Vue over Easter.

They head to Manchester’s National Speedway Stadium on Friday (1pm) before facing the Aces back at Monmore Green next Tuesday (7.30).

Five of the riders who won the league last October have been retained by the Parrys International Wolves.

Belle Vue have made a fine start to the season after a winter of uncertainty after the previous management were thrown out of the sport for financial reasons.

They dumped a powerhouse Poole side out of the Knockout Cup over two legs and are strongly fancied for another shot at the play-offs.

Wolverhampton star Kyle Howarth said “I don’t see why we can’t do well against Belle Vue, we’re a strong side and I think we can be a match for anyone.

“Hopefully we can all get some good scores individually, get a positive result at their place and then make sure we win at home next week.

“They’ve got a strong side and they’ve started well, but we aren’t afraid of anyone and we’ll just give it our all like we do every meeting.”

The sides will meet again at Monmore next Tuesday with a bumper crowd expected.

“Tuesday will be a big night back at Wolves and I’m sure the racing in both meetings will be fast and exciting,” said Howarth.

“From our point of view we want to get some league points on the board and we’ll do everything we can over these two meetings to make that happen.”

Wolverhampton are offering admission to children for just £1 next Tuesday.
