LOOKING for something to do on Bank Holiday Monday? Look no further!

Monmore Green Stadium in Wolverhampton hosts a bumper evening of speedway racing with two meetings featuring four of the biggest names in the sport.

Starting at 6pm, reigning top flight champions Wolverhampton look to continue their unbeaten home record when they face King’s Lynn who include 2012 world champion Chris Holder.

And immediately afterwards, Cradley Heathens take to the track against Lakeside Hammers in a crucial National League clash.

Speedway is a great family sport with riders taking great risks on 500cc motorbikes – with no brakes!

Each race lasts for just less than a minute and is over four laps of the superb Monmore track.

Wolverhampton boast one of the top riders from Sweden, Freddie Lindgren, in their side along with Australian ace Sam Masters.

And King’s Lynn also include former Grand Prix superstar Troy Batchelor along with talented young British racer Robert Lambert.

Cradley Heath, who race most home meetings at Wolverhampton, include Danny Ayres, one of the greatest showmen in the sport, and local lad Tom Perry.

Lakeside have Ben Morley, one of the league’s leading riders, to spearhead their side managed by TV pundit and former England skipper Kelvin Tatum.

Fans have the option to watch both meetings for normal Wolverhampton admission prices (Cradley season ticket holder pay £5 supplement) or for those wanting to just watch the Cradley v Lakeside fixture a turnstile will be open from 7.15 approximately.
