WOLVERHAMPTON reserve Nathan Greaves believes this has been the week which will kickstart his season.

The 19-year-old contributed 4+1, including an important early race win, in the 55-37 home win over Rye House on Monday before putting in a stunning display to finish fourth in Wednesday’s British Under-21 Final at Poole.

Greaves admits it’s been a tough start to the campaign, but says he is now feeling much closer to where he wants to be.

Said Greaves: “This week has been much more like it from myself.

“I haven’t been scoring how I’d have liked in the first few weeks but it’s never through a lack of trying.

“It was a great feeling to get my first race win of the year for Wolves on Monday and then to go to the British Under-21s and finish fourth was brilliant I feel.

“It was one of the toughest line-ups there’s been so to just miss out on top three was a massive confidence booster and a huge step in the right direction.”

The Parrys International Wolves host King’s Lynn in the first meeting of a double-header at Monmore Green on Monday (May 1). Supporters should note the SGB Premiership fixture will start at the earlier time of 6pm with Cradley’s National League clash with Lakeside expected to get underway around the 7.45 mark.
