WOLVERHAMPTON will be without Jacob Thorssell for their top of the table clash at Belle Vue on Monday (7.30).

The Swedish star is riding for Polish side Falubaz Zielona Gora in a re-arranged fixture which will cause him to miss the trip to Manchester.

The Parrys International Wolves will operate rider replacement to cover his absence – and co-promoter Chris Van Straaten has spoken of his frustration at the situation.

Said Van Straaten: “We travel to Belle Vue tomorrow in a televised meeting without the services of Jacob Thorssell.

“Zielona Gora, his Polish club, re-arranged a fixture for this date long after our Belle Vue meeting was established and was on the international-accepted ISLB fixture list, but they have taken priority.

“We have spent 10 days asking for some co-operation from Poland and hoping for someone to see common sense, but it’s fallen on deaf ears.

“I have no criticism of Jacob, I have to make that clear, because he’s just been caught in the middle of this, but this sort of situation needs to be resolved for the sake of British speedway.”

Kyle Howarth is ruled out with concussion after his horror crash last week, with Ben Barker stepping in as a guest.

Ellis Perks makes his appearance since signing a 28-day contract at reserve, whilst the Aces will be at full strength.

BELLE VUE: Kenneth Bjerre, Steve Worrall, Max Fricke, Rohan Tungate, Craig Cook, Dan Bewley, Jack Smith.
WOLVERHAMPTON: Fredrik Lindgren, Ben Barker, Rory Schlein, Jacob Thorssell R/R, Sam Masters, Ellis Perks, Nathan Greaves.
