KYLE Howarth can’t wait to make his return as Wolverhampton head to Somerset on Friday (7.30).

The battling Brit was a frustrated spectator as the Parrys International Wolves suffered a 53-40 defeat at Belle Vue on Monday.

After sitting out the mandatory time required after suffering a concussion in his horror smash against Poole, Howarth is now ready to get back in the saddle.

He was set to miss Wednesday’s rained-off clash at King’s Lynn after picking up a chest infection but is due to be in action for SGB Championship club Sheffield tonight (Thursday).

Howarth hopes he will be back refreshed and better than ever at the Oaktree Arena after his enforced break from racing.

Said Howarth: “I’ve missed it to be fair, although it’s been nice to have a bit of a break because I needed it.

“It was frustrating watching the boys on Monday because it’s your team and you want to be able to do your bit.

“I’m ready to go again now, and I’ll try and help us to regroup as a team and get back on track with a good result at Somerset.”

Wolves have drafted in former Somerset rider Nick Morris to guest at No.1 with Freddie Lindgren in action for his Polish club.

Meanwhile, the Rebels head into their first home meeting in over a month boosted by a 45-44 away win at Poole on Wednesday.

SOMERSET: Richard Lawson, Cameron Heeps, Charles Wright, Patrick Hougaard, Josh Grajczonek, Jake Allen, Lewis Kerr.
WOLVERHAMPTON: Nick Morris, Kyle Howarth, Rory Schlein, Jacob Thorssell, Sam Masters, Ellis Perks, Nathan Greaves.
