WOLVERHAMPTON racer Sam Masters will take his place in his home Grand Prix later this year.

The Aussie superstar has been handed the wildcard slot for the QBE Insurance Australian FIM Speedway Grand Prix at Melbourne’s Etihad Stadium in October.

Said Masters: “I’m so happy to have a wildcard for the GP at home.

“Every Speedway rider wants to race in a GP at some stage, so to be able to race in the Australian one, for a third time, is such an honour and a privilege.”

Masters will be back at Monmore Green on Monday when Parrys International Wolves face Poole as their Premiership play-off push continues.
